IMPORTANT:  stop running MicroTiling

 

It is not possible to stop MicroTiling while it is running. If you try to do it clicking the “X” button at the window top right, the window will be closed but the program continues working in background. The only way to stop it is to shut down the computer.

 

 

How to visualise the deep focus image

There are two ways to convert the .aci file (in our example PAP.aci) in a zoomable image ready to be seen online or on your computer.

 

1. The name_of_the_case.aci file can be converted into a Zoomify™ zoomable image using Zoomify Quad-Thread Converter With Tiled Input™ or  Zoomify Command-Line Converter™. See the Zoomify web site for details (www.zoomify.com).

 

2. After processing with BigTilesMaker (a program of the Tiling Suite; see the manual) the deep focus image can be visualized with ImageScope™ or converted into .svs file with Digital Slide Studio™ and then visualized with ImageScope™. Don’t try to visualize with ImageScope™ the deep focus image double clicking the name_of_the_case.aci file created by MicroTiling. It does not work.

3. Another converter with many interesting features is Objective Converter™ by Objective Pathology™ ( www.objectivepathology.com/objectiveconvert/ ).
