The setup window
In this window the image and all the necessary elements to calculate the deep focus are shown.
Enlarg panel to select the enlargement.
Tile side panel to select the tile dimension (1024x1024 or 512x512 or 256x256). It is strongly recommended to keep the default size: 512x512 pixels.
Normally there is no reason to change the default values of the panels Gray Image and GLCM (Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix) displacement Vector. If anybody is interested in the exact meaning of these possible selections please see the Technical Appendix.
The name in the text box will be used to label the deep focused image.
In the raw below the system shows how much RAM is installed on the computer. If your computer has less than 8GB RAM installed the performance of MicroTiling will be quite poor.
The z-stack panel shows the z-stack levels present in the ndpi file. It is possible to choose the levels to process. By default they are all selected. This example shows seven z-stack levels with a distance of 1200 nanometers between each level.
