The Tiling Suite
A collection of program to prepare, create and visualize deep focus images
MicroTiling
Introduction
MicroTiling program performs the so-called deep-focus of multi z-stack level digital images. It works on the file resulting from the multi level scanning of cytological (or histological) slides by a Hamamatsu Nanozoomer™ scanner. This kind of file is also called ndpi file because of its extension. The deep-focus image is a single level zoomable digital image. It is made combining the best focused areas of each z-stack level into a single level image where all the elements (the cells) are perfectly focused. The small image fragments of each level that are compared to choose the best focused one are called tiles.
